The Holy Shrine (Karbala)

Hello fam!! How’s it going?

As you might remember from my recent blogs, I am on a pilgrimage right now. And I know I promised to keep y’all updated but I am hardly getting any spare time. Still, I thought it would be nice to explain briefly about this trip of mine.

So, right now I am in Karbala (a city in Iraq) where the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) is located. It is considered a holy city for Shia Muslims and it is said to be a blessing to be able to visit this place.
We reached here on Tuesday and will be leaving tomorrow for Najaf (will explain in next blog about it).

What I experienced here is a spiritual experience and can not be put into words but I can say it’s beautiful, peaceful and takes all your worldly worries away.

Taking pictures is not allowed inside the shrine but here are some pictures from the outside to give you some idea of how beautiful this place is.

This is Abbas Alamdar’s (A.S.) Holy Shrine.

And this is Imam Hussain’s (A.S.) Holy Shrine.

There is still so much more to tell, the market, the sweets, the people, the language and the bargaining (because Indians do it no matter what location), but because of shortage of time, let’s save it for the next blog.

Also, don’t forget to like, comment and share (because I need to know y’all are not getting bored).
